Best landing spots for Cameron Jordan

Best destinations for Cameron Jordan

By: Jake Rajala

The New Orleans Saints legend and future Hall of Famer, Cameron Jordan, will be a free agent this offseason. The question is: which team will he sign with? So, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for him.

New Orleans Saints

I believe Cam Jordan will most likely return to the Saints. They have a “Cameron Jordan holiday”. He means too much to this town He also has superb chemistry with the current defensive coordinator, Brandon Staley, as he had 10.5 sacks last season. I’d love to see him play a couple of more seasons in the black and gold before retiring.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills should let Joey Bosa leave and then replace him with Cam. The Bills need more help on defense, if they want to be a Super Bowl contender. Even when Josh Allen won MVP, he wasn’t able to bring his team to the big dance. Jordan could be that missing piece.

Cleveland Browns

I know Jordan would be thrilled about the idea of playing across 2025 DPOY Myles Garrett. The Browns defense may not have Jim Schwartz anymore, but they could get more talent from players to heal that wound. I would expect the Browns to have the most sacks in the league with Jordan on their defense. It would make a lot of sense if they brought back Gregg Williams to help their defense.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers were 32nd in the league in sacks last season. Ouch. Nick Bosa suffered a brutal injury, but he should be back. Nick and Cam could be one of the best edge rushing tandems in the league. They play the defending Super Bowl Champions twice a season and the reigning MVP, Matthew Stafford, twice a season. It’s time for SF to bring in more talent right now. Plus, Jordan went to college in the Bay Area (at Cal).

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys need a gifted sack artist. I don’t love the combination of Jadeveon Clowney and Dante Fowler. I’d like to see them reel in a Pro Bowl-caliber DE like Jordan. Jordan, Quinnen Williams, and Kenny Clark would be quite superb at stopping the run. They need to help their offense (which has a lot of firepower) more.

Las Vegas Raiders

The idea of Jordan and “Mad Maxx” would be incredible. The Raiders should keep Crosby and build around him, versus trading him for a slew of draft picks. The Raiders were also 19th in sacks, so there was a lot of room to improve. The Raiders play Patrick Mahomes twice, Justin Herbert twice, and Bo Nix twice. They need to be on their toes on defense.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams no longer have Aaron Donald or Von Miller. If they can’t reunite with Miller, I’d love to see them take a swing at landing Jordan. Jared Verse is a stellar DL, but they should still be far from contempt with him. After all, they have to square off against the defending Super Bowl Champions and the 49ers (who were 7-2 under Brock Purdy) in their division.
