Best landing spots for Michael Pittman Jr.

Where will Michael Pittman Jr. land?

By: Jake Rajala

Michael Pittman Jr. could be released before free agency, according to Yahoo Sports. So, the question is: Which team could be home to Pittman Jr in 2026 and beyond? Well, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for him.

Carolina Panthers

ESPN suggested a trade where Pittman Jr. gets traded to the Carolina Panthers. I don’t believe Pittman Jr. will land there via a trade. However, it makes sense for him to sign there as a free agent. The Panthers have 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year, Tetairoa McMillan. I’d still like to see more weaponry, as he’s a bit of a lone wolf. Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette aren’t superb WR2s.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have Brock Bowers at TE, Ashton Jeanty at RB, and soon to be Fernando Mendoza at QB. All they are missing is a gifted WR. I’d love to see Pittman Jr join the Raiders on a short deal to prove he’s a 1k+ yard wideout. He is better than Tre Tucker, who unleashed 696 receiving yards last season. The WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba won Offensive Player of the Year under Klint Kubiak (Raiders new head coach) in Seattle last season.

Miami Dolphins

I don’t love the Dolphins WR group after Tyreek Hill was released. Jaylen Waddle needs a new sidekick. Waddle can stretch the field and TE Darren Waller can be a red zone threat. They just need a physical wideout to take the hits across the middle of the field. They will likely move on from Tua, so it would be wise to have impressive weapons to lure in a new QB.

New England Patriots

It’s impressive that Drake Maye came second in MVP voting with modest weapons at best. Stefon Diggs didn’t get much help. His future is even up in the air, as there’s a domestic violence incident over his head. I’d like to see the Pats load up on more toys and stride to win a Super Bowl soon.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs will likely lose some key pieces on offense this offseason. I expect JuJu to leave in free agency and Travis Kelce to retire. Kareem Hunt is a RB, but he is 30 and meh. If the Chiefs can’t bring back Tyreek Hill, I’d love to see them reel in Pittman Jr, who can thrive on the outside with his size (6’3, 220).
