7 best landing spots for Marshon Lattimore

Best spots for Marshon Lattimore

By: Jake Rajala

The New Orleans Saints traded their Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore to the Washington Commanders in 2024. Lattimore was a cap casualty, as he was average and paid a lot of money. So, where could the free agent land next? Well, I will lay out several spots for him.

New Orleans Saints

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Lattimore was a shut down CB with the Saints. In particular, the Saints could really rely on him in two games against the talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad. Of course, he despised Mike Evans. The Saints fan base also loves Lattimore.

New York Jets

Aaron Glenn once coached Lattimore in New Orleans. Glenn is now the head coach of the New York Jets. It would be wise to bring back Lattimore on a short term contract. The Jets need CB help, as they play against Stefon Diggs and Jaylen Waddle twice each season.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincy doesn’t have the sexiest outlook at their CB spot. Dax Hill finished strong last season, but it’s still uncertain he will reliable for a full season. DJ Turner is an average CB with a PFF grade of 73.3. I’d like to see a premier CB join Cincy. They ranked 26th in passing YPG allowed a season ago.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles need more help at CB. Cooper DeJean is a stud, but he can’t do everything himself. Philly was a Top-10 defense in passing YPG allowed. I still believe they need to improve if they want to take down the Seahawks (second in PPG) and the Rams (first in PPG).

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have T.J. Watt up front. He will surely be a future Hall of Famer. They also have James Pierre, who had the second highest PFF grade among CBs last season. Joey Porter had a middle of the pack PFF rating of 67.6. I’d like to see more competition at the CB spot. They should try to have a few quality CBs, obviously.

Seattle Seahawks

It could be tempting for Lattimore to try and sign with the defending Super Bowl Champions. They don’t really need him as a starter, but he could be excellent depth. After all, the Hawks play the Rams and 49ers in their division. The Hawks were 13th in passing YPG last season. There’s some room to improve.

Dallas Cowboys

The Boys moved on from Trevon Diggs, who was one of the worst CBs in the league last season. They could snag a slightly better CB to fix their issue. The Boys ranked 32nd in passing YPG allowed last season. It’s time to take a gamble and bring in new CBs. I’d still like to see them draft a CB early in the 2026 draft.
