Why the Los Angeles Rams could win it all next season

It’s time for the Rams to win it all

The last time that the Los Angeles Rams loaded up with talent (such as Von Miller and OBJ), they won the Super Bowl. Well, the Rams appear to be quite well-rounded right now. They brought in the three time first team All-Pro Davante Adams last season. All he did was have a the most receiving touchdowns in the league with 14 touchdowns. Well, in 2026, they acquired Trent McDuffie. They know that they need to stop the 2025 OPOY WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who plays in their division (with the Seattle Seahawks). He was second team All-Pro in 2024 and first team AP in 2023.

McDuffie was on the 25 under 25 list by PFF in 2025. Between 2023 and 2025, he was one of the cream of the crop CBs. The question is: Did the Rams give up too much for his services? Of course, they traded their 2026 first round pick, 2026 fifth round pick, 2026 sixth round pick, and a 2027 third round pick. I believe it was a fair trade. They don’t have a mid or early first round pick. If they didn’t get McDuffie, they would be drafting a questionable CB late in the first round.

The Rams once traded their 2020 first round pick, their 2021 first round pick, and a 2021 fourth round pick for Jalen Ramsey. I believe that was not wise. The Rams ended up trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fast forward to now, he is safety with a PFF grade of 65.8.

The LA Rams reached the NFC Championship last season. It came down to the wire. The Hawks won 31-27. I really believe the Rams were the second best team in the league, with the New England Patriots being the second best team. The Rams were first in PPG last season, while the Hawks were second in PPG. The scary part is that the Hawks also had the best scoring defense in the league. The Rams had the 10th best scoring defense, so they were also well-rounded.

The reasons that the Seahawks may not be as potent next season is for a couple of reasons. They lost Klint Kubiak to the Raiders. He was one of the best offensive coordinators in the league. Furthermore, it appears that Kenneth Walker (also known as the recent Super Bowl MVP) will leave elsewhere in free agency.

I would still like to see the Rams add another CB, especially after the news that CB Darious Williams retired. They will have to turn to Roger McCreary, to start across from McDuffie.

They should target Alontae Taylor in free agency. He is arguably the best free agent CB. If they can’t get him, they should roll the dice with Marshon Lattimore or Trevon Diggs in my opinion. They both have a couple of seasons left in the tank. I’d like to see them have a solid offseason, which should help them not be wildly inconsistent in the season.

As noted, Tae had the most receiving TDs in the league last season. Well, his sidekick, Puka Nacua, was PFF’s best WR last season. They arguably have the best WR tandem in the league. There still is room for them to improve. When Tom Brady won the Super Bowl, he had Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown. The Hawks won the Super Bowl last season and they had “three’ prominent WRs, as well. They have Jaxon, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed.

One of the biggest reasons that the Rams could win it all is their home field advantage. They were 7-1 at home last season! The California vibes don’t mesh well with foes coming to town. They even beat the Seattle Seahawks at home.

Matthew Stafford is like fine wine. At 38 years old, he won MVP! He threw 46 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He had a rating of 109.2, which is quite a feat.

The running game from the Rams is also lethal. They were ninth in the league in rushing YPG last season. Their alpha RB was none other than Kyren Williams. He recorded 1,252 rushing yards, averaged 4.8 YPC, and had 10 rushing touchdowns. It wasn’t a fluke, as he unleashed 1,299 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns in 2024.

The main reason that the Rams won the Super Bowl last time, was that they had a player by the name of Aaron Donald. Obviously, he is retired. Donald was a pressure machine. On the Bengals last pass, Donald got in the face of Joe Burrow to prevent him from connecting with Ja’Marr Chase, who was open.

I don’t want to see the Rams draft a QB early. If they want to go all in on acquiring gifted free agents, they need to draft players that can be impact players right now.
