Where could Tom Brady play?
By: Jake Rajala
The 48 year old, Tom Brady lit up the flag football exhibition. This raises the question: Does Tom Brady still have some gas left in the tank? Well, I believe he does. So, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for him.
New York Jets
This is a no-brainer. The New York Jets arguably have the worst quarterback situation in the NFL. The former New York Jet, Geno Smith, shouldn’t leaned on to lead this team. He threw 17 interceptions last season and 15 ints in the season before that. The Jets still has some firepower with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. I’d love to see the Jets bring in another veteran wideout, too.
Las Vegas Raiders
Brady already has a soft sport for the Las Vegas Raiders, as he is a minority owner of the team. On the Raiders, they have Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and Tre Tucker. Brady knows the ins and outs of the offense, which he helped put together. On the flip-side, the Raiders do compete in an AFC West division that is loaded with talent. The Broncos and Chargers made the playoffs last season. The team that didn’t make the playoffs has Patrick Mahomes.
Minnesota Vikings
I’d love to see Kyler Murray and TB12 to compete for the starting gig. I don’t have faith in J.J. McCarthy being the starting QB in 2026 or even 2027. the The winner gets to utilize Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockenson, and Aaron Jones. If the Vikings could have a winning record with their QB situation last season, they should be able to go quite far with a stellar QB.
Atlanta Falcons
I’m not sold on the Atlanta Falcons quarterback situation, even with Tua Tagovailoa. Michael Penix has also proven to not be reliable. Brady could fit in as a pocket passer with Drake London and Kyle Pitts to unleash havoc. Let’s not forget about Bijan Robinson, who could set up the Falcons with short yardage on second and third down. Brady could also play in one of the worst divisions in the NFC South.
Houston Texans
I don’t love how the former Ohio State QB, CJ Stroud has failed to develop as a QB. I’m also not a big fan of his playoff abilities. He’s thrown 6 ints to 6 touchdowns. He also has a 3-3 record. If he wants to be special, he needs to have a much better playoff record and stats. Brady could step in for a 1-2 seasons and allow CJ to learn. The AFC South is also not prominent, so the Brady bunch could dominate.
New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough may be one of the best young QBs in the league. After all, he was second in OROY voting in 2026. However, he isn’t the GOAT. Brady could have some serious firepower to play with in NOLA. They have second team All-Pro Chris Olave, the versatile Alvin Kamara, and the ascending TE Juwan Johnson. The Saints offense also has a pair of young offensive tackles (Kelvin Austin and Taliese Fuaga) to help TB12. As previously noted, the NFC South is one of the worst divisions.
Miami Dolphins
Yes, I know the Dolphins have former Green Bay Packers signal-caller Malik Willis. He looked sharp, careful, and fast with the football. Well, he is still young and could very well be the future of the organization. Right now, Brady could be the answer. The Phins don’t have a lot of proven ammunition (as they cut Tyreek Hill and traded away Jaylen Waddle). Hence, they will need the right QB utilizing the talent.
Honorable Mention:
Cleveland Browns
I believe that the son of Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, could be the future of the team. Nonetheless, he isn’t perfect. He threw more ints than touchdowns last season. Deshaun Watson has also proven to be a failed experiment over the past two seasons, even if the Browns liked him more than Shedeur in “2026”. The Browns also don’t have a lot of firepower. This means the right QB could make up for the lack of weapons, or a QB may not want to come to the team with the lack of weapons.
