5 potential trade destinations for Xavier Worthy

Will the Chiefs trade Xavier Worthy?

By: Jake Rajala

Xavier Worthy may be a 40 yard dash legend (as he ran a 4.21 40 yard dash). Sadly, that doesn’t translate to significant success on the field. He hasn’t eclipsed 1k yards or six touchdowns. I would say he’s better than John Ross, who ran a 4.22 yard dash. Obviously, I don’t believe he’s better than Tyreek Hill, who ran a 4.29 40 yard dash.

With Worthy being 23 years old and having a couple of modest seasons in his back pocket, the best time to trade him may be now. Hence, I’m going to lay out the best destinations for him.

Houston Texans

Nico Collins is a dog. He’s not the most talented WR, but he gets it done. He reminds me of Julian Edelman. After him is Jayden Higgins. Jayden isn’t a prolific WR. I’d say he’s a stout WR3. I’d love to see the Texans reel in another weapon. After all, CJ Stroud was a turnover machine in the latest playoff battle.

Las Vegas Raiders

Al Davis may come back to life if the Raiders acquire a speed demon at WR. Everybody knows that he loves fast wideouts. The Raiders have Brock Bowers at TE, who was first team AP as a rookie. Ashton Jeanty will also be quite involved. All they’re missing is a talented WR.

Buffalo Bills

I’d like to see the Bills finally load up on firepower with their MVP caliber QB. They have DJ Moore, who is a gifted WR. After him, it’s a wasteland. Khalil Shakir is more of a WR3 and Joshua Palmer is a WR4. Worthy would be quite hard to cover when Josh Allen breaks out of the pocket and guides Worthy to the side of the field where there’s no coverage.

New York Jets

Garrett Wilson can’t be a lone assassin. He needs more help. The Jets also have Breece Hall. At QB, there’s a concern. Geno Smith isn’t a Top-20 QB in my opinion. They need more toys for the old Jets QB that returned home. The Jets have arguably the worst offense in the AFC East. In other words, the Jets could use more help.

New York Giants

The GMEN need more juice at WR. It’s unclear when Malik Nabers will return from his knee injury. It doesn’t look pretty, to say the least. Darius Slayton isn’t a legit WR1. If the Giants want their young QB Jaxson Dart to not have a sophomore slump, they have to bring in more weaponry.
