Pass rusher trade targets for the Saints

The New Orleans Saints have an elite pass rusher in Chase Young and another stout edge rusher in Carl Granderson. I’d love to see them acquire a superb third edge rusher. Cameron Jordan may not return, so it would be wise to invest in another DE soon. Hence, I’m going to lay out five pass rusher trade targets for them.
Harold Landry
Harold Landry has been an impressive, consistent DE in his career. He has had at least 8.5 sacks in each of his prior four seasons. He notched 8.5 sacks, 19 QB hits, and 10 TFLs in 15 games last season. Furthermore, he had 48 pressures. He is a poor man’s version of Von Miller, in my opinion. I’m not thrilled about his ability in the run game.
Haason Reddick
Haason Reddick was once a terrific story. He was a walk on safety at Temple. He turned into a stud pass rusher at the pro level. He recorded 16 sacks, 26 QB hits, and 11 TFLs in 2022. As of late, he’s been a grumpy defender that can’t agree on a deal. His work ethic may have declined, as he has 3.5 sacks over the past two seasons combined. It’s time for a fresh start.
Jonathan Cooper
The Broncos have many superb pass rushers. After all, they ranked first in sacks last season. They should be fair and give another team a chance. Nik Bonnito is an All-Pro-caliber pass rusher. The other edge rusher in Jonathan Cooper. He’s more likely to get traded than Nik. Jonathan had 8 sacks, 10.5 sacks, and 8.5 sacks in the prior three seasons. He also had 51 pressures last seasons.
T.J. Watt
Saints fans deserve to dream a little. If Jordan doesn’t come back, Who Dat Nation would want another big name pass rusher to take his place. T.J. Watt is a play-maker and he’s a stud against the run and pass. However, he is on the decline. He only had seven sacks and 10 TFLs. I did like that he had a few forced fumbles.
Laiatu Latu
Laiatu is an elite defender. Not only did he have 8.5 sacks last season, but he also had three interceptions. He had an PFF grade of 84.1, which was 10th among edge rushers. He’s a high-motor, flexible, and aware EDGE player. The reason that the Colts may not cough him up is that he’s 25 years old.
