WRs in the NFC that can win OPOY

The NFC has many gifted wide receivers. Sure, the Philadelphia Eagle AJ Brown is leaving the NFC to the AFC. Nonetheless, there are still many elite wideouts that call the NFC their home. With that said, I’m going to discuss five WRs in the NFC that could win OPOY.
Puka Nacua
It’s hard to bet against Puka Nacua. PFF dubbed him as the best WR in football. He was one of the biggest steals of al time, as he was drafted in the fifth round. He plays with the reigning MVP Matthew Stafford and one of the most creative offensive minds in Sean McVay. Puka is still improving his craft. After all, he is 25 years old. He recently got support after the biting incident and he said that he’s a “changed man”.
Mike Evans
The new 49ers WR Mike Evans is a freak athlete. He can put up Megatron numbers with Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan. We all witnessed Julio Jones record 1,871 receiving yards and eight touchdowns under Shanahan in Atlanta. The 49ers also don’t have Jauan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk appears to be on his way out. Evans should get plenty of targets. CMAC and George Kittle will also want to be involved, too.
Chris Olave
We all remember former Saints WR Michael Thomas winning OPOY. The young Chris Olave really sprouted with Tyler Shough last season. He had 660 yards and six touchdowns in Shough’s nine game stretch. He is a deep threat and he can shine with screens in space. Olave is still 25 years old, so he is just entering his prime. Jordyn Tyson may hog some of his targets, however.
Amon Ra. St Brown
The Detroit Lions manage to make Amon Ra. St Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs happy. St. Brown was first in targets among NFC WRs. Yes, you read that correctly. The chemistry between Jared Goff and St. Brown is unstoppable. St. Brown can shine with screens and deep passes. There are bound to be plenty of shootouts in the NFC North this season. Hence, St. Brown’s number will be called a lot.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba
I don’t love the chances of a WR winning OPOY in back to back seasons. Let’s not forget that Jaxon Smith-Njgiba no longer has his genius play-caller Klint Kubiak, who went to the Raiders. The Hawks also drafted a RB in the first round. Jaxon should be a Pro Bowler, but it will be quite a challenge to repeat as an OPOY winner.
I believe that the NFC carries many WRs that can win OPOY. Most of my picks above are young wideouts. Hence, I’m excited to see what growth could take place and if another NFC WR wins OPOY.
