Broncos may have to move on from $54 million dollar player soon

Jonathan Cooper has all the talent in the world. The problem is that he has issues off the field. He was recently arrested for domestic violence. Apparently, he held her arms back and “ate her iPhone”. Yes, you read that correctly. If he gets a year in jail, he won’t see the field in this upcoming season. It’s a shame that this happened to the Broncos, as they’ve been the best team at sacking opposing QBs. He had 8.5 sacks in 2023, 10.5 sacks in 2024, and 8 sacks a season ago.
So, if the Broncos may have to move on from, they need a talented replacement. No, Nik Bonnito can’t do all the work. Personally, I’d love to see them bring in Cameron Jordan, who played under the Broncos head coach (Sean Payton) in New Orleans. It would also be a beautiful time to reunite with Von Miller, who won Super Bowl MVP with the Broncos.
According to Last Word on Sports, Cooper is looking at a nine game suspension at the very least. If he does get axed from the Broncos for a nine game suspension or a year, I believe he will come back stronger. Hence, I’m going to unfold landing spots for him.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills will be a Super Bowl contender in this year and the next. They can be patient with Cooper. The Bills will most likely not have Joey Bosa, who had a league high five forced fumbles last season. Gregory Rousseau is developing nicely. He had eight sacks in 2024 and seven last season. Ed Oliver is also a behemoth that can help his teammates.
Cleveland Browns
It would be quite impressive if the Browns were able to obtain Jared Verse and a first round pick from the Rams, then were able to reel in Cooper on top of it. The Browns have a lot of talent on defense. They have Mason Graham, Carson Schwesinger, and Denzel Ward. Perhaps Cooper could be the missing piece.
San Francisco 49ers
Nick Bosa can’t stay away from the medical tent. He only played in three games last season and then he only played in 14 games in 2024. The 49ers play in a division with the LA Rams and Seattle Seahawks. The Rams were first in PPG last season and the Hawks were second in PPG last season. Hence, they need QB hunters.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have an impressive IDL, but I’d like to see more stout edge rushers. The Boys had Jadeveon Clowney, who actually played well at times. Well, let it be known that he’s 33 years old and he’s still a free agent. They should acquire a gifted edge rusher soon.
New Orleans Saints
If Who Dat nation wants a replacement for Cameron Jordan, they should look no further than Cooper. He can be the third DE in the rotation with Chase Young and Carl Granderson. The Saints have been aggressive to make mega trades in the past. They traded away Jimmy Graham, Brandin Cooks, and Darren Sproles.
