What a Browns rebuild would look like

One of the biggest trades of the 21st century took place recently. The Cleveland Browns shipped him away Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
With that said, there is a lot of speculation that the Browns are in a “rebuild” phase. I’m going to lay out what a rebuild would look like.
I would like to keep Shedeur Sanders as their QB1 and Joe Flacco as the QB2. I don’t want to see them cough up a first or second round pick for a QB. Matter of fact, I’d like to see them trade away Dillon Gabriel for a mid to late round pick.
I’d also love to see them put Jerry Jeudy on the trade block and try to get a third round pick for him. He’s a modest WR2 on a quality team. The Browns also have youth at their WR spot, with the 2026 first round pick KC Concepcion and 2026 second round pick Denzel Boston.
The Browns also have a lot of youth on defense. Jared Verse may not be a DPOY winner, but he is 25 years old (five years younger than Garrett) and he can make an impact all over the field from the MLB spot. The Browns also have DROY winner Carson Schwesinger and 2025 fifth overall pick Mason Graham.
The Browns shouldn’t be done shopping quite yet. I’d like to see them trade the veteran Denzel Ward. At 29 years old, he only has a few quality seasons left. They could also get a mid round pick for his services and then still sign a veteran CB like Marshon Lattimore or Trevon Diggs.
Just because the Browns could rebuild, it doesn’t mean they should be immune from signing a free agent or two. They could bring in Taysom Hill. He can help replace David Njoku, who went to the LA Chargers. Heck, Hill can even shine with reps as a QB. Jadeveon Clowney would be a very nice fit. He obviously was once a Brown. Hill and Clowney would likely play for a couple of seasons, but they can help win close, cold contests in the short-term.
