Best landing spots for the $12 million dollar WR
By: Jake Rajala
The Carolina Panthers have a rich group of wide receivers. It starts with Tetairoa McMillan, who won OROY last season. The Panthers WR2 is Jalen Coker. I’d like to see the Panthers add a quality wide out, such as Keenan Allen or Tyreek Hill. With that said, it seems that Xavier Legette isn’t in the best spot possible. So, I’m going to lay out potential landing spot for him.
Miami Dolphins
The Phins should be desperate for a WR. They no longer have Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle. Their top WR is none other than Malik Washington. He had 317 yards and three touchdowns last season. In other words, he isn’t the most intimidating skill player. They are setting up Malik Willis to fail. They need more weapons. Insert Xavier Legette.
Cleveland Browns
Jerry Jeudy isn’t Megatron. He needs another partner in crime. KC Concepcion can dominate a pro day, but it’s not clear how that will translate to on the field. Furthermore, they are either starting a young QB (such as Shedeur Sanders) or a rusty QB (such as Deshaun Watson). So, they need all the help that they can get.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers don’t exactly need WRs. Nonetheless, I’d love to see another weapon for Aaron Rodgers, as he gears to win a Super Bowl. We saw Tom Brady have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown at WR. He also had Gronk. If TB12 gets a lot of weapons, A-Rod deserves to go out swinging with a lot of toys.
Buffalo Bills
DJ Moore is a machine at the WR spot. After him, it’s a bit dim. Legette can beat out Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer for the WR2 spot in my opinion. I believe that Josh Allen could return to his All-Pro days with Legette and another weapon.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have Brock Bowers at TE and Ashton Jeanty at RB. They are missing a key piece at their WR position. Tre Tucker can be a solid WR2, but they need a gifted WR1. Klint Kubiak is a genius, but he still needs toys with some potential.
