49ers at Rams: bold predictions

The San Francisco 49ers travel south to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. It’s bound to be a bloody divisional showdown. With that said, I’m going to lay out bold predictions for the game. The Rams are 4-1 in their last five matchups againsts the 49ers.
Myles Garrett stays off the stat sheet
“I have a bad feeling about this”
The reigning DPOY Myles Garrett will face the 49ers All-Pro Trent Williams often. When he doesn’t face Williams, he will go against Colton McKivitz. Colton had a PFF grade of 83.5 last season, which was seventh among tackles. On top of the talent at the tackle position, the 49ers have a wiz coach named Kyle Shanahan. He will know how to erase Garrett from the stat sheet.
George Kittle gets 100+ yards
George Kittle is tired of hearing about Travis Kelce “on and off” the field. Kittle can start fresh in 2026. I believe he can get 100 yards in Week 1. The Rams were also 23rd in passing YPG allowed last season. In other words, they aren’t perfect. Kittle wants to prove he can be a future Hall of Famer.
Davante Adams gets two touchdowns
Davante Adams hauled in 14 touchdown last season. Yes, you read that correctly. That was first in the league. He even missed a few games and he still had that many touchdowns. With the attention on Puka Nacua, Tae can beat the CB2 on the outside.
Brock Purdy throws three touchdowns
Brock Purdy went 7-2 last season. He gets to start this season with Kittle, Ricky Pearsall, and Christian McCaffrey. If the 49ers can slow down Myles Garrett, I can’t imagine that the 49ers don’t light up the Rams defense. The 49ers are also tired of hearing about how potent the Rams team is.
