Recent Landing spots for Stefon Diggs
By: Jake Rajala
Stefon Diggs made a bold statement that he is the best WR2 in the league. He has talked the talk, can he walk the walk? I’m going to lay out teams that could sign him.
Buffalo Bills
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Diggs made four straight Pro Bowls with Bills Mafia. In 2020, he led the league in receiving yards (1,535) and receptions (127). He also had 10 TDs and 11 TDs in two seasons with the Bills. DJ Moore is the WR1, make no mistake. However, Diggs should be productive than the current WR2 Khalil Shakir.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs need to keep their foot on the pedal. After all, Patrick Mahomes proved that he can’t “carry” the Chiefs offense by himself. Diggs can be an electric WR2 to Xavier Worthy, who has continued to improve his craft. Rashee Rice may also may not be in the best mental state, after his arrest.
Denver Broncos
Sean Payton loves to roll the dice. He will also ponder decisions that could improve 365 days a year. Diggs can be a piece that puts the Broncos over the top and makes them a favorite to win the AFC Championship. Courtland Sutton and Diggs could be a Top-5 WR duo.
New York Giants
The GMEN have one of the brightest young offenses in the league. They have Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, and Malik Nabers. The issue is that they couldn’t stay healthy last season. Even if they are 100% in July or August, I’d love to see them bring in another WR. I don’t consider OBJ a smart option to lean on.
New England Patriots
I love A.J. Brown, but the Pats WR could use another toy. Romeo Doubs could be the WR3, while Diggs could be the WR2. Drake Maye is on the verge of being an MVP1 and not second place in the MVP votes. Josh McDaniel should be seeking revenge after struggling as an HC.
