Most valuable trade pieces for the Saints

The New Orleans Saints like to stay aggressive 365 days a year. They are always looking to make a move. With that said, I’m going to lay out their five most valuable trade pieces.
Carl Granderson
The Saints have the athletic freak, Chase Young, on the edge. All he did was record 10 sacks in 12 games last season. They also brought back the Top-5 Saints pass rusher of all time, Cameron Jordan. This somewhat leaves Carl Granderson has an expendable piece. Make no doubt, he’s a starter on most teams. He had six sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and he even had an interception last season.
Spencer Rattler
The Saints found their guy in Tyler Shough. He went 5-4 last season. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler, could be a modest starting QB for the right team. He has flashes of greatness with his deep arm strength and accuracy. He just isn’t efficient enough for the Saints.
Devaughn Vele
Yes, I know the Saints just acquired Devaughn Vele last season. Well, I forsee Bryce Lance taking over his spot as WR3. Lance is one of the most explosive skill players on the team. Vele reminds me a lot of Marques Colston, but the number of prominent WRs on the team makes him a trade piece.
Pete Werner
The Saints x factor on defense is Kaden Elliss, who can shine all across the LB spots. Then there is Pete Werner and Danny Stutsman. Stutsman flashes impressive ability last season as a rookie. I can see Elliss and Danny being the two starting LBs on the side and Pete being somewhat of an odd man out.
Davon Godchaux
The Saints beefed up their DL this offseason. They drafted Christen Miller in the second round of the 2026 Draft. He should be starting early in the season. John Ridgeway can also move around the IDL. This makes Davon Godchaux a tradeable figure. Let it also be known that he had zero sacks and two tackles for loss last season. In other words, he won’t be a Pro Bowler.
