NFC South: a dream pickup

The NFC South was the worst division in the NFL last season. At least they were a young division. At QB, The Saints had rookie Tyler Shough, the Panthers had 25 year old Bryce Young, and the Falcons had second year QB Michael Penix. With that said, they could all improve with time.
The regular season may be around the corner. This doesn’t mean teams have to stop looking at improving their team. I mean we just witnessed Aaron Donald join the Los Angeles Rams. So, I’m going to lay out a dream target for each team.
Saints: Ed Oliver
The Saints lost Bryan Bresee to injured reserve. They could really use an replacement. Cameron Jordan can play inside on third down, but he’s 36 years old and also injured. Ed Oliver is a flat out stud. He was on pace to be a monster last season. In three games, he had three sacks, five QB hits, seven tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.
Falcons: T.J. Watt
We saw the Browns trade away Myles Garrett to the Rams. It’s not impossible to imagine the Steelers trading away T.J. Watt. The Falcons don’t have an elite front seven, by any stretch of the imagination. Watt could really lift them up. He recorded seven sacks, eight pass deflections, and three forced fumbles in 14 games last season.
Buccaneers: Garrett Wilson
The Bucs no longer have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin has struggled to stay healthy. I’d love to see them get a gifted, “young”, WR. I have one in mind by the name of Garrett Wilson. He is stranded on the New York Jets. I’d much rather see him play with Baker Mayfield than Geno Smith, who threw 17 interceptions last season.
Panthers: Blake Corum
The Panthers have failed to properly replace Christian McCaffrey in my opinion. He was an A-player. They have brought in B- players. Blake Corum is in-between the two. He is a stud, to put it simply. He recorded 746 yards and six rushing touchdowns, but he averaged 5.1 YPC.
The NFC South is going to be a blood-bath in 2026. This division could be more enticing if one of these teams pulls off a trade for their dream target.
