Rams vs Bills: bold predictions
By: Jake Rajala
The Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills square off on Monday night. This could very well be a Super Bowl preview. With that simply said, I’m going to unfold five bold predictions about the weekend.
Aaron Donald gets two sacks
I really believe the future Hall of Famer, Aaron Donald, will shake the rust off completely and wreak havoc. Sadly, he was MIA last week with a back injury. He is back and healthy. Furthermore, he will be playing under the bright lights. I expect him to lay everything on the line and garner a pair of sacks.
Josh Allen throws a pair of interceptions
I expect the Rams defense to be aggressive with them having an elite offense on their side. I believe Allen will throw many 50/50 balls. This will be his doom. The Rams don’t have Jalen Ramsey, but they still have Trent McDuffie. Donald will be in his face often, which will force a couple of “deep” passes to fall short of the mark and into the hands of the Rams.
Kyren Williams gets 120+ rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns
I love the explosiveness and elusiveness from Kyren Williams. He may be more potent than Todd Gurley. Yes, I said it. He has 294 rushing yards, 5.4 YPC, and a few touchdowns. The Bills are going to focus on the big two (Davante Adams and Puka Nacua). This will open up things for Kyren.
Gregory Rousseau gets a strip sack and a touchdown
Gregory is finally showing his worth as a first round pick. He has six sacks and three forced fumbles on the season. I believe he won’t only have a strip sack, but he will take it to the house. He is ultra aggressive and plays with a high motor. This allows him to have more opportunities at taking the ball away.
Matthew Stafford and Allen combine for three passing touchdowns
It’s too often that we see two high scoring offenses sputter out and the game turns into a low scoring affair. I expect each team to really play for the pass. There will still be a few cheap passing touchdowns in the red zone, nonetheless. I expect no more than three total passing touchdowns combined from the two teams.
