What is the best landing spot for Stefon Diggs?

By: Jake Rajala

Stefon Diggs has been one of the most gifted wide receivers to play the game over the past few seasons. He made the Pro Bowl in every season between 2020 and 2023. Last season, he only played in eight games. With that said, Diggs is a free agent and he is seeking a new squad to wreak havoc with. Hence, I’m going to untwine the best landing spots for Diggs.

New England Patriots

Diggs is currently in Foxborough visiting the Pats. This destination makes a lot of sense for both sides. Their top WR is arguably DeMario Douglas – who only managed to unveil 621 yards and 3 touchdowns last season. The Pats also have the most cap space in the league.

Kansas City Chiefs

Diggs may not break the bank with Kansas City, but he could chase a Super Bowl ring immediately. It should also be noted that the Chiefs could benefit from another WR, especially after DeAndre Hopkins left to play with Lamar Jackson. JuJu Smith-Schuster rejoined the Chiefs on a low figure deal. I’d love to see a well-proven, versatile weapon like Diggs join KC.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers aren’t rebuilding with their loaded, well-rounded roster. They just need to fill in a couple of holes. After Deebo Samuel left to Washington, they could benefit from another quality WR – such as Diggs. The 49ers just need a little more juice to get over the hump and return to the big dance.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns can’t throw in the towel. It’s even more important they have a top-notch weapon without a Top-15 QB next season. Jerry Jeudy can make magic happen, but they need an elite WR1. They arguably sit in the most competitive NFL division.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders need to put their final touches on their impressive roster. If they can find a way to reel in Diggs, they would have one of the best WR-TE duos in the league. Their best WR in Jakobi Meyers isn’t that scary, so they should find an upgrade.

Honorable Mention:

Buffalo Bills

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

The Buffalo Bills need to keep their gas on the pedal, as MVP QB Josh Allen is still in the shadow of Patrick Mahomes. The Bills top WR is Khalil Shakir as it stands out. They desperately need to find a gifted WR1 to go with Allen and James Cook. Of course, Diggs dominated as a Bill for many seasons, too.
