What is the best landing spot for Michael Thomas?

Michael Thomas was once on a path to the Hall of Fame. He made three straight Pro Bowls and he was coming off an Offensive Player of The Year award. Well, injuries and poor decisions set him back quite a bit. He didn’t play last season, but he’s still 32 and he may have some gas left in the tank. Hence, I’m going to untwine the best landing spots for him.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns need a quality wideout right now! A new weapon will also make them a more attractive for a new quarterback. After Jerry Jeudy, there isn’t a prolific WR. Thomas is essentilly a cheaper option than Amari Cooper in my opinion. CLE also competes in one of the best NFL divisions, so they need to bulk up to stay in the AFC North race.

Denver Broncos

The former legendary Saints head coach Sean Payton knows how to utilize Thomas better than any other play-caller in the league. Thomas would be a quality WR3 and red-zone threat in their offense. The Broncos were also swept by the Los Angeles Chargers last season and the Kansas City Chiefs remain a Prometheus-like squad. Hence, the Broncos need more ammunition to win in the AFC West.

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers shipped out Deebo Samuel and there are rumors that Brandon Aiyuk could be dealt next. Thomas could be quite the value pick-up for Kyle Shanahan. Julio Jones and Josh Gordon were once Hall-of-Fame caliber wideouts under Shanny. SF is also 7th in cap space.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have been aggressive when it comes to bringing in new WRs over the past season. They brought in DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Thomas could be the most productive weapon, perhaps besides Hopkins. Thomas may also be looking for a team that has one of the best opportunities to win the Super Bowl!

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers usually don’t sign FA wide receivers, but this may be the exception. The Pack have a few young, quality WRs, but not a Pro Bowl-caliber WR. Thomas could help the Packers return to being a regular first-seed in the NFC. The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings have only improved over the past couple of seasons. Hence, it’s time for more steam in a Packers sauna to make everyone more motivated.
