Best landing spots for Jonathan Taylor
By: Jake Rajala
Jonathan Taylor is one of the most dynamic ball-carriers in the league. However, he is sitting on an Indianapolis Colts team that is a sinking ship. Hence, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Jonathan Taylor traded, especially after seeing Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, and Derrick Henry switch squads in recent memory. So, I’m going to untwine five trade spots for Taylor.
Cleveland Browns
After losing Nick Chubb, the Browns have a gaping hole at RB. They were 29th in rushing YPG. I’d love to see them make some noise and add a star RB. If they acquire Taylor, it could make a potent QB more interested in joining the dog pound. Kevin Stefankski needs a quality RB to help his beloved play-action game.
Las Vegas Raiders
Similar to CLE, the Raiders blatantly didn’t properly replace their old star RB, who was none other than Josh Jacobs. The Raiders were 32nd in rushing YPG last season. Their newly acquired RB Raheem Mostert only managed to unveil 278 rushing yards last season. He is also 32!
Tennessee Titans
The trend continues. Derrick Henry said bye to the Titans and the Titans forgot to add a top-notch RB to replace Henry on their roster. Tony Pollard is an average RB in my opinion. I’d love to see a shiny, gifted RB to pair with potentially Cam Ward.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincy has a Top-5 WR duo with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. All they are missing is a cream of the crop RB. If the Bengals add Taylor, they could have “the greatest show on turf 2.0”. Cincy could improve their time of possession (as they were 11th in TOP) by adding a quality RB to slowly break down foes.
Denver Broncos
Sean Payton is always looking to think outside the box. He had Alvin Kamara in New Orleans, but he doesn’t quite have a top-shelf RB, to pair with Bo Nix. The Broncos were also 17th in rushing YPG a season ago. Furthermore, the Broncos were also the third best team in their division last season.
