The Best destinations for T.J. Watt

Make no mistake: the seven-time Pro Bowler T.J. Watt is expendable and potentially on the move in 2025. With that said, I’m going to untwine five potential landing spots for J.J. Watt’s younger brother!

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams’s general manager Les Snead loves to make splash moves. He brought in Davante Adams, Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr, and Bobby Wagner in recent memory. I’d like to see more talent in their front seven, especially with Aaron Donald retired. Byron Young led their edge rushers in sacks (8.5). I’d love to see a double digit sack master in a division that could feature a few playoff teams.

Detroit Lions

Watt could be the missing link for a Detroit Lions team that has come close to playing in the big dance. The duo of Aidan Hutchinson and Watt could be the best pass-rushing tandem of all time. The NFC North featured three playoff teams last season. Furthermore, there are two starting second-year QBs in the division.

Green Bay Packers

“Tell the world, I’m coming home”

The Packers honestly be a quality fit based on their location. Plus, Watt could be on a Super Bowl contender at the same time. They were 11th in sacks last season, but their top edge rusher only had 7.5 sacks. I’d love to see an elite pass rusher on their squad for big moments in big games.

New Orleans Saints

I don’t love how the Saints handled their defensive end position this off-season. Chase Young got a monster contract after having an average 2024 showcase. Cameron Jordan is also being paid a lot of money for having 6 sacks in the past two seasons combined. I’d love to see Watt join a defense that has Demario Davis and Tyrann Mathieu.

Kansas City Chiefs

Chris Jones and Watt would help their defense squash unsung QBs in their division. The Chiefs also haven’t had a scary pass rusher since Justin Houston. It’s time for KC to bring in a face that can make life hell for Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
