Jadeveon Clowney best landing spots right now

Clowney’s best landing spots

By: Jake Rajala

Jadeveon Clowney is one of the most gifted pass rushers to step onto a field. His latest marriage was with the Carolina Panthers. However, in a surprising move, the Panthers just cut ties with Clowney. This comes after he unveiled 5.5 sacks, 11 QB hits, and four pass deflections, in 14 games! With that said, I’m going to unfold the best landing spots for him.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams once made the Von Miller experiment work quite well. The LA Rams are still able to put up fireworks, which forces teams to strictly pass. Hence, the Rams pass rush can then tee off on foes passing attack.

Of course, they still miss Aaron Donald, too.

New Orleans Saints

I don’t love that the Saints broke the bank for Chase Young, who had 5.5 sacks, 21 QB hits, and three pass deflections last season. It’s also safe to say that Cameron Jordan is washed up, as he has six sacks in the past two seasons combined. The Saints were also 19th in sacks, so there’s room for improvement with their pass rush.

Detroit Lions

A healthy Aidan Hutchinson and Clowney could be one of the best pass-rushing tandems in the league. The Lions ranked 27th in sacks last season. Marcus Davenport hasn’t been able to stay healthy in Detroit (or in New Orleans). Thus, they need more reliable talent on the edge. The Lions are also third in cap space right now.

Philadelphia Eagles

Clowney could really pursue a Lombardi Trophy with Philly next season. He would certainly start over Bryce Huff. The Eagles wouldn’t have one of the best front sevens in football with Clowney. They would have the best front seven in the NFL with Jadeveon.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincy has the best sack master in the league with Trey Hendrickson. Clowney would thrive off the attention that Hendrickson garners. Even if Joseph Ossai is the DE2, Clowney would see a plethora of reps. The Bengals need to bury their foes and not stick in high scoring games. Clowney would help them accomplish that.
