Pickett best landing spots

The Cleveland Browns may very well trade away 2022 first overall pick Kenny Pickett. The Browns currently have Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders at their QB spot. Pickett is still talented, but he also sits in a crowded, gifted QB room, as well. At the same time, Pickett made some magical plays that will make some teams interested in his services. Plus, he has gone 15-10 in his three seasons. With that said, I’m going to untwine many trade spots for him.
Los Angeles Rams
There is a realistic chance that Matthew Stafford hangs up his cleats within a couple of seasons. It would be wise to get a talented, young QB now rather than start right away with a rookie QB. We witnessed Cooper Kupp get axed from the LA Rams. Sean McVay isn’t scared of rolling with young guns.
New Orleans Saints
I believe that the Saints should sign Carson Wentz rather than trade for a QB. If that door isn’t open, they should consider acquiring Kenny Pickett. I don’t love that Pickett would be the oldest QB on the Saints, but he may still have more talent than the other 2-3 QBs.
Pittsburgh Steelers
If there isn’t bad blood between the Steelers and Pickett, he should consider reuniting with the Steelers. If they don’t sign Aaron Rodgers or Carson Wentz, they have to trade for a QB. There isn’t only chemistry there, but I believe he would start over Mason Rudolph. After all, Rudolph went 1-4 and recorded 9 touchdowns to 9 ints last season.
Atlanta Falcons
There isn’t a clear-cut starting QB in Atlanta. Why not add in another modest face to potentially start at QB? Michael Penix went 1-2 and Kirk Cousins went 7-7. I believe they will move forward with a QB that can dominate off play-action (as they build off their elite running game with with Bijan Robinson) and also have a sharp deep throw.
Denver Broncos
Will Pickett ever start over Bo Nix? Probably not. However, they could use an upgrade at QB2. Payton loved the idea of improving Zach Wilson. Payton also liked the potential of Jameis Winston at the backup spot.
Honorable Mention:
New York Giants
There is still plenty of questions regarding the ability of the first-round pick Jaxson Dart in the NFL. The Giants veteran QB Russell Wilson once had the edge over Pickett, but he showed the past two seasons that he doesn’t have the same potential as Pickett.
