Potential trade destinations for Kyler Murray

Trade destinations for Kyler

By: Jake Rajala

Kyler Murray is a shaky dual-threat signal-caller. He has led his team to a dominant record for half a season. Then he’s unleashed a putrid record for many losing seasons. With that said, he’s an expensive asset. Hence, he may be shipped away. So, I’m going to untwine some potential destinations for him.

New York Jets

I don’t love that the Jets are putting all their eggs in Field’s basket. He has a career record of 14-40. He was also benched last season. The Jets have to be more aggressive to land a Pro Bowl QB, as they sit in a division with former MVP QB Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa, and Drake Maye (who even made the Pro Bowl last season).

Pittsburgh Steelers

Let’s cut to the chase. Murray is an upgrade over Aaron Rodgers. Plus, he has a lot more years than Rodgers, who is 41 years old. Murray would help the Steelers from a first round exit. He’s also more dynamic than Mason Rudolph, to say the least.

Indianapolis Colts

I don’t love Anthony Richardson due to his completion percentage. He has Tim Tebow-like vibes on the field. Daniel Jones may put up career best ability in the off-season, but I don’t believe he’s their long term answer. I don’t believe he has the same throwing ability to win CPOY.

New Orleans Saints

Tyler Shough may be 26 soon, but he could still benefit from sitting for a year. The Saints need a veteran after losing Derek Carr. Right now, I believe that Murray can be more versatile with the ball and press all the buttons on Kellen Moore’s offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars

I believe it’s time for the Jags to bring in some serious competition for Trevor Lawrence. T-Lawrence went 2-8 last season. Just as the Cleveland Browns have four talented QBs and the Falcons have two sharp QBs, it may be right for the Jags to have two Pro Bowl QBs.

If Kyler doesn’t get shipped away, it’s plausible he stays in Arizona. He has a home in AZ and he has chemistry with Gannon. I’d like to see the Cardinals add more weapons around him, rather than believe he’s a lost cause. Perhaps the Cardinals could acquire someone like Chris Olave or sign Amari Cooper!
