5 surprising destinations for Rodgers to play at

Surprising spots for Rodgers

By: Jake Rajala

The first ballot Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, is still seeking to find a home. He hasn’t linked up with the Pittsburgh Steelers quite yet. Hence, anything is on the table. Well, I’m going to unveil five surprising destinations for Rodgers.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence has gone 10-16 in his past two seasons combined. He simply needs to take a backseat and witness Rodgers practice day in and day out. Lawrence even plays in a pedestrian division, yet he’s not able to get it done. I really believe that A-Rod would bring the Jaguars to the playoffs, just as Blake Bortles once did.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers play in a less dangerous and more clean town than the New Orleans Saints. Plus, the Panthers have a few dangerous weapons, such as Tetairoa McMillan, Adam Thielen, and Xavier Legette. Bryce Young could still be the true long-term starter after Rodgers plays for one more season.

New England Patriots

Drake Maye was the worst Pro Bowler last season. He went 3-9 and threw 16 TDs to 10 ints. He was far from a Top-15 QB last season. Rodgers could step in and (hopefully) make magic happen with Stefon Diggs. Rodgers and Josh Allen would be beautiful television.

Minnesota Vikings

Anything other than Pittsburgh would be a surprise. The Minnesota Vikings are a second option, despite being a long shot. The Vikings have Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson. J.J. McCarthy is also a young QB who could learn from sitting another season, just as Jordan Love sat behind A-Rod.

New York Giants

Jaxson Dart has fantastic upside. However, he will likely sit behind Russell Wilson for a season. I’d love to see Russell Wilson traded to a squad and then sign A-Rod to fill in the veteran’s shoes. Rodgers made some progress with Davante Adams. Perhaps he can return to his Pro Bowl days with Malik Nabers.

Honorable Mention:

Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson has a career completion percentage of around 50%. He has Tim Tebow vibes, to say the least. Daniel Jones hasn’t played like a quality QB up to this point, which is troubling. I believe the Saints have a better QB duel than Indy. I sincerely believe that Rodgers would run away with the keys to the starting gig.
