NFC East: ranking the QBs

Ranking NFC East QBs

By: Jake Rajala

The NFC East has some gifted QBs and winners. There are also some rangy and unproven QBs. With this said, I’m going to rank the NFC East QBs.

4. Russell Wilson

I expect Russell Wilson to get the nod over Jaxson Dart in 2025. He led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 6-5 record a season ago. Hopefully, his Steelers version is better than his outcome in 2021 (6-8), 2022 (4-11), and even 2023 (6-8). Wilson isn’t quite as mobile as he used to be. If Wilson doesn’t have a winning record at the mid-point of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jaxson Dart took over the keys.

3. Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott once threw a league high 36 touchdowns. He led his team to a 12-5 record in the process. With that said, he also once threw 15 ints, which led the league. The question is: which version of Dak are we getting. On the bright side, he received George Pickens. Hence, I believe he’s leaning toward the elite version.

2. Jalen Hurts

The reigning Super Bowl Champion can do it all. He can take care of the football and use his legs to make magic happen. He reminds me of Alex Smith. Hurts is a bit more dangerous with his legs, however. All Hurts did was run angry for 14 touchdowns last season! PFF handed Hurts a grade of 76.3.

1. Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels is similar to RG3, but he’s a better passer. Daniels’s offense demolished the Detroit Lions by a score of 45-31 in the playoffs. The Commanders also added Deebo Samuel this off-season. If Samuel can return to his All-Pro form, Daniels may reach All-Pro honors, as well. PFF gave Daniels a grade of 89.6, which was sixth among QBs!

The NFC East has a few QBs that could see their team make a deep playoff run. Not only are these QBs gifted, but they have weapons that can make magic happen in space. Hurts is a very special QB, but I’d love to see Daniels have a turn at winning a Lombardi trophy.
