Who needs to win the Super Bowl the most?
By: Jake Rajala
There isn’t equal pressure to win a Super Bowl in my opinion. There are some squads that are in their prime and need to reel in a Super Bowl victory soon. Some other teams are young and just have the talent at the same time, so they should be a regular face in Super Bowls.
Honorable Mention:
Aaron Rodgers is on his last legs. He wants to go out in the sunset with a Super Bowl victory. The Steelers have A-Rod, DK Metcalf, T.J. Watt, and Minkah Fitzpatrick. They just need to have strong chemistry soon and put it all together.
5. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have a high-end QB in Dak Prescott, a Top-3 WR duo in Cedee Lamb and George Pickens, a Top-5 pass rusher in Micah Parsons, and an elite cornerback in Trevon Diggs. The Boys went 12-5 on numerous occasions under Mike McCarthy. They let him down in the end. The Boys haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1995, despite having prominent faces on their team over the years.
4. San Francisco 49ers
Kyle Shanahan can’t quite finish with a Lombardi trophy, as he’s 0-3 in Super Bowls. The 49ers have a more developed Brock Purdy, along with a lethal defense (led by Nick Bosa and Fred Warner). Plus, they have former OPOY winner Christian McCaffrey. He just needs to stay healthy.
3. Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions have the second longest Super Bowl drought. They really need to make Motor City passionate about football again. They have the best roster in their history. Jared Goff is 30 years old, so he has a lot of time to go all the way. Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams are young, cornerstones on offense, while Aidan Hutchinson could soon win DPOY on defense.
2. Buffalo Bills
The reigning MVP Josh Allen can check an MVP trophy off his bucket list. Now it’s time to win a Super Bowl. Allen is 3-2 against Patrick Mahomes, but he just needs to be successful against Mahomes in the playoffs. I don’t love the Bills attention to their WR room, but I do love James Cook in the backfield.
1. Baltimore Ravens
Sure, Allen won a Super Bowl and needs to take the next step. Well, Lamar has won numerous Super Bowls and needs to take the next step! The Ravens are 1-4 against the Chiefs over their past five showdowns. They are even 2-3 against the Steelers over their past five battles.
