Potential heirs to A-Rod

It’s been widely reported that Aaron Rodgers is going into his last season. It shouldn’t be tool late to brainstorm about potential heirs to Aaron Rodgers. I’m going to unfold a few potential heirs. These faces will not come from the 2026 NFL Draft.
Anthony Richardson
Anthony Richardson may have a terrible completion percentage, but that doesn’t deny his talent. He only threw 8 TDs last season, but he also ran for six touchdowns. Most importantly, he had a winning record of 6-5 last season. Richardson is a flat out bully in the run game. He’s built like Taysom Hill. Richardson would be the most expensive QB on this list.
Spencer Rattler
I foresee Tyler Shough getting the keys to the offense. He ran a pro style offense in college. He also has better accuracy than Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener. Plus, he is Kellen Moore’s guy. Moore clearly believes that he can fit his offense better than Rattler. Rattler still has freak-ish arm talent, similar to Jay Cutler.
Shedeur Sanders
I believe that Kenny Pickett is the man in Cleveland. He’s gone 7-5 in two seasons. He also is 27, so he’s still growing. It doesn’t sound like Shedeur Sanders, who has the most buzz, has separated himself from Dillon Gabriel enough. Although his arm strength is slightly better than Dillon’s arm strength. I expect Shedeur to have a modest pre-season, which should increase his trade interest.
The Steelers should be a Super Bowl contender with Rodgers this season. The hard part will be maintaining success after Rodgers leaves. I’d love to see the Steelers acquire a young QB with a little experience than draft a QB late in the first round or second round. They have the offense and defense to “win now” rather than a few seasons away.
