Kamara floor and ceiling

Alvin Kamara was once seen as a third down back coming into the draft. Well, he has surpassed expectations, to say the least. He made the Pro Bowl in five straight seasons. Well, he hasn’t made the Pro Bowl as of late. However, it would take a fool to say he hasn’t been productive.
In 2024, he was a machine. He recorded 1,493 total yards, which is quite impressive. It should be noted that he missed three games in the process. Hence, he averaged 107 yards a game. The last time that he eclipsed 1,493 yards in a season was 2020, where he unleashed 1,688 yards.
Kamara recorded 8 total touchdowns last season. His personal best TD mark is 21 touchdowns. He also notched 18 TDs in his second season.
I can foresee Kamara reaching 1,500 total yards. Let it be known that Erik McCoy, who is arguably the best center in the league, only played in 7 games last season. Furthermore, the Saints drafted LT Kelvin Banks Jr, who has dominated this preseason. With a young QB in Rattler, I could see a lot of targets to him, especially on first and second down. I could see Kamara getting 10 touchdowns.
Kamara has a fantastic floor in my opinion, as he’s quite versatile and has a high football IQ. His worst total yard mark was 1,160 yards, which came in 2023. I don’t believe he will return to his days with this yardage. I believe his floor is 1,300 yards. He has too much talent around him to sink below 1,300 yards. I could see five touchdowns as a floor. Kendre Miller could cut into Kamara’s goal-line touches.
Ultimately, the Saints have a stud in Kamara. He can simply do it all. If he makes a few more Pro Bowls and perhaps a Super Bowl ring, he may be looking at getting a gold jacket.
