5 overreactions from Week 3

Overreactions from Week 3

By: Jake Rajala

Week 3 is over, and Week 4 is on the horizon. There were some really impressive performances and not so pretty outcomes. With that said, I’m going to lay out five overreactions from Week 3.

The Saints won’t win a game

The Saints got blown out by an average Seattle Seahawks team. Many Saints fans are putting their garbage hats on that say “aints”. Spencer Rattler is 0-9 as a starter. I have faith the Saints can split games with the Falcons.

The Packers won’t win the NFC North

I still have faith in the Packers. Of course, they lost to a putrid Browns team. They still have a Pro Bowl QB, a Pro Bowl RB, and one of the best pass rushes in the NFL. Let’s not forget that the Pack already beat the Detroit Lions, as well.

The Baltimore Ravens won’t win a playoff game

The Baltimore Ravens had two close losses this season, against the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. They have an opportunity to redeem themselves in Week 4, as they play the Kansas City Chiefs. If Lamar can flex his ability and beat the Chiefs, they should re-enter themselves back into the Super Bowl consideration.

Kirk Cousins will replace Penix

We witnessed Kirk Cousins replace Penix in the Week 3 massacre. No matter the Week 3 outcome, it’s been widely reported that Penix is still the QB1 moving forward. If Penix can at least lead his team to score 10 points, I don’t believe he will get benched.

Aaron Rodgers is washed up

Let me tell you friends: A-Rod is not washed up. He threw numerous dimes in Week 3. He threw a beautiful deep throw on the run. Rodgers is 2-1 and he could honestly upset the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers make the playoffs every season.

It’s Week 4, which means it’s nearly 1/4 through the season. There is still a lot of time for a team to rip out a long winning streak and be a Super Bowl contender. With that said, I hope we all believe in the overreactions I laid out.
