Deep stashes to target in Week 4

Deep stashes to target

By: Jake Rajala

Championships are won by wise general managers. They understand that you can’t have several star players. You need to have some unsung heroes. With that said, I’m going to unfold deep stashes in Week 4.

Sterling Shepard

Sterling Shepard had 6.9 pts, 7.4 pts, and 12 pts in each week this season. He’s not going to have a Tre Tucker day, but he can get near or over double digit pts. Furthermore, you may have heard that Mike Evans is injured and ruled out for Week 4. His YPC is quite impressive, as it’s 13, 8.5, and 20! His QB is on fire, as well. On the flip-side, he is 32 years old, so he may not blossom more in his career.

Darius Slayton

If you don’t want to add Darius Slayton, keep a close eye on him. He had 8 pts in Week 2 and 7 pts last week. With defenses focusing on Malik Nabers, it opens up things for Slayton. Furthermore, the Giants just so happen to be switching from Russell Wilson to Jaxson Dart. This may result in more fireworks for Slayton and the rest of the offense.

AJ Barner

AJ Barner isn’t going to score three TDs in a game, but he’s had double digit pts twice this season. Klint Kubiak’s scheme has been generous to him. With that said, it is troubling that he hasn’t had more than 3 targets in a game. I would open up a spot for him. If he can excel now, he can really lift off with more involvement.

Washington Commanders defense

In Week 1, Washington scored 10 pts, and then they scored 11 pts last week. It’s hard to not like them, especially after seeing Von Miller get a sack. Miller and Bobby Wagner are timeless. On the flipside they play in a division that has explosive offenses, such as Dallas, NY, and Philly. It may be wise to pick the Commanders as a backup defense.

Darren Waller

Darren Waller is a freak athlete. Well, I can’t wait to see how it translates to the field. He will make his debut in Week 4 against the Jets. With defenses focusing on Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, things could really open up for Waller. He may be rusty, but it will be key to see if he can show he’s still athletic. The reps will come after he gets more understanding of the playbook.

Marcus Mariota

Marcus Mariota has 20 pts last week. He is in a very friendly offense, where he doesn’t have to play like Tom Brady in the pocket. He can dish it out to Deebo Samuel and watch him make magic. Scary Terry is out this week, however. I wouldn’t keep Mariota once Jayden Daniels returns in my opinion.

KaVontae Turpin

Turpin is only owned in 58% of leagues, but he has been modest thus far. He had 15 pts in Week 2 and 8.8 pts in Week 3. He’s still young, as he’s in his third season. With Ceedee Lamb possibly out for a few weeks, it may be wise to target Turpin, who’s in line for more deep shots. I’d like to see him get more targets. He only had 2, 4, and 3 targets thus far.
