7 RBs to trade away in dynasty in Week 5

RBs to trade away

By: Jake Rajala

Week 4 is in the books. There was a ton of action in the dynasty realm. With that said, I’m going to discuss the running back position and unfold which RBs to trade away.

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry had three fumbles in the first three games. Well, he didn’t exactly bounce back in Week 4. He had 42 rushing yards. Justice Hill had a rushing TD and six targets through the air! Of course, Henry is also 31 years old. Lamar Jackson has also led the team in rushing yards. They aren’t overly concerned about their running game long-term. PFF has given Henry a grade of 52.3.

Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb had 13 carries and he had 47 yards to show for it. The Texans offense is simply a mess and this includes their OL. Chubb isn’t the same RB we all witnessed in Cleveland. He’s 29 years old and he’s blatantly somewhat washed up. He’s also not a receiving threat, which limits his plays. Furthermore, Joe Mixon is the future of the Texans RB position.

Alvin Kamara

AK is the 24th best dynasty RB in the league. He hasn’t had over 20 pts this season. He’s had two games with only 2 targets. To make matters worse for Kamara, Kendre Miller had his biggest role last week and he dominated. Spencer Rattler is also fourth in passing attempts, as Chris Olave is second in targets and Juwan Johnson is third targets among TEs.

Josh Jacobs

Say hello to Packers RB Emanuel Wilson, who averaged 5.5 YPC and looked unstoppable in Week 5. Josh Jacobs had goal-line duties, so he had 2 rushing TDs. I’d still pay attention to how involved Wilson is in Week 5. Wilson is also 26 years, so he has a bright future in Green Bay. Jacobs has failed to average more than 4 yards in a game this season.

Breece Hall

Apart from Garrett Wilson, I don’t have faith in anyone in the Jets offense. Justin Fields can make magic happen with his legs, but he’s not going to throw 350 passing yards. Hall had his best performance in Week 4, so it’s perfect for other people buying the hype. He averaged 2.3 YPC in Week 3 and 2.9 YPC in Week 2! Hall is somewhat young (24 years old), but I believe he may have Todd Gurley syndrome.

Tyler Allgeier

Tyler Allgeier is witnessing the 2024 first round pick Bijan Robinson evolve into a bell-cow RB. I believe Bijan is an elite RB that can succeed in many ways. Tyler is averaging 3.6 YPC, which isn’t exactly daunting. Robinson is like Adrian Peterson. And All Day doesn’t play well with a RB1b. The Falcons are also 13th in passing attempts, so there’s not a lot of room for a RB2 to shine.

Jaylen Warren

Jaylen Warren is in a complex situation. The Steelers love to pass the ball with A-Rod to DK Metcalf. Jaylen Warren is the starting RB, but he’s not an above average RB. He only has averaging 3.1 YPC. He has a PFF grade of 69.6.
