Add Dillon Gabriel?

The Cleveland Browns quarterback Dilllon Gabriel, who was born in Hawaii, played his college ball at UCF, Oklahoma, and then Oregon. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the NFL Draft. After his squad (Browns) started 1-3, he has been given the keys to start.
Of course, Gabriel is young (24). The question is: what should we expect him to be? In dynasty terms, can he be a stat machine and take care of the football?
A lot of people would prefer to see Shedeur Sanders due to more success in college. It’s also fun to watch dual-threat QBs.
Gabriel isn’t a dud.
Gabriel is the first let handed QB to start for the Browns. This doesn’t mean he’s Michael Vick. However, he can sure run with the football. He had seven rushing TDs as a senior and 12 rushing TDs as a junior.
According to USA Today, he had a completion percentage of 67.7% from the entirety of preseason. The LA Rams matchup was the best test of Dillon. Against the LA Rams, he had a passer rating of 100.5. Shedeur had a completion percentage of 58.6% from the preseason. He also had a paser rating of 56 from the Rams contest.
Shedeur was less efficient than Dillon, but he also took too many silly sacks. He didn’t do enough magic to outweigh his sacks taken.
Let’s not forget the original idea: Dillon was taken a couple of rounds earlier than Shedeur. He’s proven them right up to this point. I’d say it’s not quite the right time to start Dillon in dynasty. He will likely have growing pains as a clutch QB and has a stat machine. The Browns will need to draft a weapon early in 2026, if they want to compete against three explosive offenses in the AFC North.
I’m worried about the Browns lack of firepower on offense. After Jerry Jeudy, it’s honestly dim. Isaiah Bond is the WR2 and he has 85 yds on the season. Harold Fannin Jr. is more reliable than David Njoku. David Njoku was once a borderline Top-15 TE, but that’s in the rearview mirror.
Wins don’t have to be everything. The Saints young QB Spencer Rattler has started 0-10, but he’s playing at a modest level. He has five passing touchdowns, which is solid given his schedule thus far. He’s played three NFC West teams (Cardinals, 49ers, Seahawks) and the Bills. He has a real shot of getting his first win against Jaxson Dart and the GMEN this week.
I’d like to see Dillon have similar stats has Tua Tagovailoa. Not only are they both from Hawaii and left-handed, but they have a little bit of mobility and an accurate arm. Tua had 15 pts last week. He managed to have 19 pts in Week 2. I believe that’s a realistic aim for Dillon.
The Browns are 24th in PPG allowed. They will need to pull some tricks out of the box if they want to get above 20 pts a game in my opinion. Hopefully, Dillon can prove to be the future of Browns QB room, as it’s been a long time since a Pro Bowl QB has been on the Browns.
