Ignore these sleepers

There are sleepers in fantasy football who can help win those tight matchups right before the playoffs. There are also sleepers to avoid. With that said, I’m going to lay out several sleepers to avoid right now.
Marvin Mims
Marvin Mims is a part of a Sean Payton wide receiver line change. It’s like hockey for the WRs in Payton’s offense. Many years ago, the Saints had Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, and Marques Colston. They didn’t have a Pro Bowl WR. Mims is all over the map. He had 15.8 points in Week 7 and then recorded 1.8 points in Week 8. His next best two games were Week 4 with 20.50 points and 10.40 points. He should be a season away from being an elite WR2 across Mims.
Joshua Palmer
Sure, the Bills are thin at WR. Well, Joshua Palmer hasn’t taken control of this situation. Palmer only has one 10+ point game this season (which was 11 points) in Week 1. To be fair, he only has one game above 51% of snaps, and that was also 61% in Week 1. If he can’t shine with the Bills, I don’t love his long-term outlook with a potential different squad.
Rashid Shaheed
I really have a sour taste in my mouth for the Saints deep threat, Rashid Shaheed. The Saints benched Spencer Rattler for Tyler Shough, which isn’t delightful in my opinion. Rattler has better arm strength than Shough. Shaheed has notched 21.40, 15.20, and 14.50 in his three best contests. It also should be noted that he could honestly be traded. Hence, it’s hard to predict his future.
Rico Dowdle
It wasn’t too long ago that the Panthers RB Rico Dowdle was playing like the MVP of the league. Well, he was a dud last week. He only unleashed 5.4 points in Week 8. He had 10.6 points in Week 7, so it wasn’t like he was playing like CMAC over a few game span.
Alec Pierce
Like a lot of deep threats, the 25 year old Alec Pierce can be hit or miss. He scored 10.8 and 10.7 in Week 2 and Week 3. He then had 6.8 points in Week 6. He then had 14.8 points in Week 7 and he then went down the coaster with 8.9 points last week. He has a season high of 10 points. His next best amount of targets is 5.
Jalen Coker
Jalen Coker was projected to be a stout WR2 in the Panthers offense. Well, there hasn’t been enough bread on the table for Coker and the other Panthers weapons. He only had 6.6 points last week, which came after scoring zero points in Week 7. Andy Dalton hasn’t exactly been daunting, as well.
Luke McCaffrey
The brother of Christian McCaffrey, Luke, has often balled out. He has three games of at least 10 points. However, he also has two games where he scored zero points, and another game of 4.9 points. He’s far too inconsistent. With Terry McLaurin back in Week 10 or Week 11, it should mean a less involved Luke, as well.
