QBs to buy right now
By: Jake Rajala
Let’s not forget about the quarterback position and the big decisions that come with it in the fantasy (or dynasty) football world. For example, I have the dark horse MVP candidate in Drake Maye and the CPOTY candidate Joe Flacco. Maye has a fine floor, but Flacco has been the hot hand so far. I will have to dig deeper into their situation and competition. With that said, I’m going to unfold QBs that you should buy in Week 10.
Joe Flacco
Well, let’s talk about the obvious QB to buy right now. Flacco. Joe Cool has unleashed 18.67 points, 25.98 points, 24.32 points, and 32.70 points as a Bengal on the season. He arguably has the best WR tandem in the league with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. The flipside of Flacco’s situation is that he’s 40 years old. He will most likely retire after this season. Hopefully, he can reach the playoffs and put up fireworks on offense against the Steelers again.
J.J. McCarthy
I will admit it. J.J. McCarthy proved me wrong in Week 9. He scored 19.92 points as he recorded three total touchdowns. J.J. could have a better completion percentage. He was 14 of 25. He is just starting to cook with Justin Jefferson. JJ recorded his second TD of the season in Week 9. J.J. is still developing and it’s yet to be determined how he will shape out against elite secondaries.
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart is light years ahead of most rookie QBs. Take away his 17 point performance, his next worst showcase was 19.42 points. Dart went from losing Malik Nabers to losing Cam Skattebo. Nonetheless, Dart is the favorite to win OROY. Dart barely lost to the San Francisco 49ers, and he’s beaten the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jacoby Brissett
Jacoby Brissett has thrown two touchdowns in three straight games. Two of those games came against stingy defenses in the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts. I love his outlook, as he plays the Seahawks, 49ers, and Jaguars in the next few games. Troy Aikman believes that the Cardinals need to roll with Jacoby, even if Kyler is healthy.
