Replacements for Marshon Lattimore

The tragic news is out: Marshon Lattimore is injured. He suffered a torn ACL, which will end his season. It’s been a putrid season for him in general, as he was one of the league’s most penalized players. At 29 years old, it won’t be easy for him to return to elite form.
With that said, I’m going to lay out CBs that could potentially replace him.
Stephon Gilmore: Stephon Gilmore isn’t a dud quite yet. He can excel in man to man, which is what Washington likes to do with their CBs. Gilmore had 9 pass deflections last season and 13 in the season before. The downside is that Gilmore is 35 years old.
Asante Samuel Jr.: Asante Samuel Jr is healthy, cleared to play, and hungry to return. He could get his best offer from a desperate Commanders squad. Samuel Jr. is 26 years old, hence he has a bright future ahead of him.
Daron Bland: Daron Bland is on a sinking ship. He is a talented ball-hawk, but he’s average at best with. Cowboys defense that leaves him out to dry. He is still 26, so there’s still hope for him to turn it around. The main reason the Boys may not make this trade is that they play in the same division as the Commanders.
Denzel Ward; The Browns need to be brutally honest with themselves. They are far from being a playoff contender: I’d like to see them flip Ward for an early pick to target a QB. They can still keep Myles Garrett, who could win DPOY.
Jalen Ramsey: Jalen Ramsey loves to get traded, all jokes aside, he could see Washington as a competitive season beyond this season. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers is likely retiring after 2025. I wouldn’t be shocked if T.J. Watt wanted to switch squads and leave ship after A-Rod leaves.
Marshon Lattimore was meant to be a cornerstone for a team that reached the NFC Championship last season. Clearly, things didn’t go to plan.I hope he is able to return and play for a few more seasons at a high level, which means he should cut down on the penalties, too.
