What does Quinnen Williams bring to the table?

The Dallas Cowboys caught a lot of heat for trading away All-Pro LB Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Well, they brought in his replacement: the DL Quinnen Williams. The former third overall pick in 2019, is striving to make his fourth straight Pro Bowl. He is a pass rush maniac, a thug against the run, and he runs a motor until the end of the contest.
I love that the Cowboys put some effort into fixing their defense. After all, the Boys rank 31st in PPG allowed. It isn’t an enormous change for Williams, as the Jets are 27th in PPG allowed. Williams needs to play with his hair on fire, as they need to do more work if they want to beat Philly and win their division.
Quinnen shouldn’t be entirely surprised about the Jets shipping him out. They also traded away Sauce Gardner, who may have been the only defender better than Williams on the Jets defense.
Let’s face it: the Jets are fourth in their division, and they have only won one game this season. Aaron Glenn needs to rebuild the squad, or he will find himself in a hole by himself.
It will take more than a season to fix a team’s quarterback spot, assuming there isn’t a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning in free agency. The Jets just need to be patient and find a way to get more draft picks for younger players.
I would give the Boys a grade of a B. Quinnen is in his prime and he’s capable of being legit against the run and pass. I believe that the Jets should have made some moves to clean the house, but I don’t love them for pushing away Sauce. The Jets have honestly been in tight showdowns and they could easily have three to four wins instead of one victory. They lost 13-6 to the Carolina Panthers and 13-11 to the Broncos the week before. Those are a few examples.
The Boys rank 29th in rushing YPG. This makes it more ideal to add an interior DL, rather than a third down sack specialist. It’s a bonus if an IDL can do a terrific job of rushing the passer, too. The best part is that the Boys also brought in a run defender in Logan Wilson. He should start right away and make his difference felt. I like this movie because the Boys didn’t have to cough up much.
