Last minute waiver adds
By: Jake Rajala
Week 12 in the NFL is around the corner. Hence, I’m going to discuss fantasy football and lay out five last minute waiver adds.
Jacoby Brissett
If I didn’t have Drake Maye, who is awfully consistent, I would start the red hot Jacoby Brissett. He hasn’t scored below 19 points yet. He also is coming off a game where he broke the record for the most completions in a single game. He also is going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, so he should light it up.
Kayshon Boutte
Kayshon is coming off a two game suspension, but he lit it up before the suspension. He recorded 26 points in Week 6, 13.5 points in Week 7, and 16.5 points in Week 8. Between Week 6 and Week 8, he had four touchdowns. It also helps Kayshon that he has an MVP candidate at QB throwing him the football.
Cleveland Browns defense
Myles Garrett is a gift from the football gods. He leads a red hot defense. The Browns defense had 16 points from last week (where they played the Baltimore Ravens). They also had 26 points in Week 7 and 11 points in Week 8. The Raiders play a pedestrian Raiders offense in Week 12.
Devin Singletary
Devin Singletary unleashed 17 points last week, after registering 10 points in Week 10. He had a season high 16 carries last week. He had a pair of rushing touchdowns last week, too. The Giants need a true talented RB with Cam Skattebo out for the season. Expect Devin to get at least double digit carries in most of his future contests.
New Orleans Saints defense
The New Orleans Saints defense is coming off a game where they scored 12 points against a talented Carolina Panthers offense. They play an Atlanta Falcons offense that is missing Michael Penix Jr. and Drake London. Furthermore, the Saints flat out despite the Falcons. I expect the Saints pass rush, led by Cameron Jordan, to be firing on all cylinders.
Honorable Mention:
Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson only had six points last week, but he had 14.5 points in Week 10 and 11.7 points in the week prior. Jameis Winston will lean on a sure-handed, mismatch nightmare, who just happens to be Theo Johnson. Of course, Jaxson Dart has a concussion and he will be out for another week.
