Who will sign Justin Tucker?

Justin Tucker’s suspension is in the books. Of course, he had questionable character for his massage mishaps. Well, Tucker will still go down as one of the best kickers to play the game. Deshaun Watson had slightly worse character in my opinion, yet he still got awarded a very hefty contract. With that said, I believe Tucker deserves another chance and could be the perfect fit for the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints kicker, Blake Grupe, is 17 for 23, on the season. He is also three for six on 50+ yard field goals, which isn’t admirable. The Saints special teams kicker is standing by him, but he won’t be the Saints long term kicker if he doesn’t improve. Perhaps Justin Tucker can replace Blake and be the next Saints kicker at some point. He honestly struggled in 2024, but he was one of the best kickers in NFL history before so. He was first team All-Pro in five seasons. He also made five straight Pro Bowls before 2024.
The Saints made a bold decision to ship away Will Lutz to the Denver Broncos, as he rejoined Sean Payton. They could redeem themselves and reel in Tucker. Lutz is 17 for 20. Hence, it’s safe to say he’s outperformed Grupe.
The Saints are open to giving players a second chance. Their Pro Bowl RB Alvin Kamara was suspended for assault, and they were patient with players who were a part of the bounty system. Obviously, Junior Galette crossed the line, after having many chances.
Tucker hasn’t only been awfully consistent for most of his career, but he holds the record for the longest field goal in NFL history. This is 66 yards, which came against the Detroit Lions. He made Matt Prater take a back seat, who had a 64 yard field goal.
I can’t imagine the Ravens bring back Tucker. Their new kicker is Tyler Loop and he has a FG% of 90.5. Tucker could still go down in the Ravens Ring of Honor. He is the best kicker for the Ravens of all time.
