RBs to sit right now
By: Jake Rajala
The running back spot is well cherished in fantasy football. Well, I’m going to take the opposite angle and lay out five RBs to sit in Week 12.
Ashton Jeanty
The Top-10 pick in the 2025 draft, Ashton Jeanty, has been on a roller coaster in 2025. He had 4.4 points in Week 7, 19.9. points in Week 9, 15.3 points in Week 10, and then 9.4 points last week. He isn’t able to be as productive as Josh Jacobs was with the Raiders. I don’t have a lot of faith in the Raiders moving the ball consistently against a dominant Browns defense, led by Myles Garrett.
Alvin Kamara
Even if the Pro Bowl RB Alvin Kamara plays, I believe he will be on a pitch count, due to his ankle injury. I expect a heavy dosage of the swiss army knife Taysom Hill and quick screens to counter the Falcons defense. Kamara also only has one double digit game in his past four contests, as well.
Rico Dowdle
The San Francisco 49ers DC Robert Saleh knows how to take away the other team’s best player. The New Orleans Saints showed the blue print to stopping him in the running game last week. His season high of 5 catches saved him from fading away last week. His back to back 30 point games are in the window.
Zonovan Knight
Zonovan has two games of double digit points on the season. I’m far from sold on him being a consistent threat in the flex spot. He had one rushing touchdowns in the past few games and he had a season high of four grabs at the same time. I don’t foresee that combination happening often moving forward. Zonovan is going up against the Jaguars this week, who is second in rushing YPG allowed. He is still a free agent in my league and I expect him to remain so until he consistently gets double digit points.
Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul only has two double digit points on the season. I can’t imagine he’s reliable with Travis Etienne hogging as the bell-cow RB. He has also been dealing with a minor injury. Tuten had a season high 15 carries last week. I don’t believe he will get many games with more than 10 carries.
