Breaking down the Cardinals weapons

Laying out the Cardinals weapons

By: Jake Rajala

The Arizona Cardinals are the most overrated team with the most underrated weapons. The Cardinals top studs are wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and tight end Trey McBride. Of course, Marvin Harrison Jr. is the son of the legend, Marvin Harrison. Wilson has stepped up in the recent absence of Harrison Jr.

McBride is second in the entire league in catches. Yes, you read that correctly. Interestingly, the one player with more receptions is a running back (who is Christian McCaffrey). McBride also has 7 touchdowns, which is impressive. McBride is also seventh in the league in receiving yards (with 797 yards). I would like McBride to be more of a deep threat. He has six 20+ yard catches. McBride is still a reliable, mismatch. Jimmy Graham and Gronk weren’t overly dangerous deep threats. McBride is an upgrade over Zach Ertz, who was their prior stud TE.

Michael Wilson is the Cardinals second most productive weapon in receiving yards right now. He has 534 yards, but only one touchdown. Wilson is the Cardinals third round pick from 2023. Wilson has stepped up since Marvin suffered an injury. Wilson notched 185 yards two weeks ago. Last week, Wilson unleashed 118 yards. He has 33.5 points in Week 11 and 21.8 points last week.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has recorded 525 yards and four TDs thus far. That’s not quite impressive. He should have more TDs, given his physical play and ability to high point the football. Let’s cut Marvin some slack, as he’s missed two games. Before getting injured, Marvin had 22.6 points in Week 9 and 14.3 points in Week 10.

Zonovan Knight has been slightly underrated as of late. Besides having a rushing touchdown in each of his prior two games, he has four grabs in each of his last two games. Of course, this may make fantasy owners of him delighted. He had 14.5 points in Week 11 and 13.2 points in Week 12.

The Cardinals need their weapons to stay healthy, if they want a chance to go blow for blow against the Los Angeles Rams. They still must face twice. At least, the Cardinals new QB Jacoby Brissett may be a better fit at QB1 than Kyler Murray, too.
