Winners on Thanksgiving
By: Jake Rajala
The 2025 Thanksgiving slate of games was tight and intense. There were stars across the board. Hence, I’m going to lay out five winners on Thanksgiving.
Micah Parsons
Let’s not ignore the fact that Micah Parsons wasn’t only the best defender, but the best overall player. Parsons had 2.5 sacks and 8 tackles. He also brought more pressure than anybody. This was why he was Tom Brady’s LFG player of the game. Clearly, the Packers look like the winners of the Parsons trade.
George Pickens
How the bloody hell can George Pickens dazzle week in and week out? He was hurdling over defenders against the Chiefs. He also caught the pivotal 2-point conversion to get ahead over the Chiefs. Furthermore, he caught the first down to ice the game. I will forgive him for a fumble (which was recovered by the Boys). Pickens should still be a Top-3 WR in yards after the showdown.
Jordan Love
Holy moly. Jordan Love came to play on Thanksgiving. All he did was unleash four touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He had a 124.2 passer rating. He made the Detroit Lions defense play like they did against the Commanders in last season’s playoff exhibition.
Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott was the second winner on Sunday. Prescott played insane through all four quarters. He threw a bomb to Ceedee Lamb to mid-field with under 10 minutes in the fourth. He finished with over 300 yards. I would have liked to see him with three touchdowns, but he was clutch when it mattered.
Evan McPherson
Evan McPherson has had one of the most memorable performances from the kicker spot in recent memory on Thanksgiving. Joe Burrow was rusty in the red zone, which left McPherson called up to kick many field goals. He knocked through four field goals in the first half! Yes, you read that correctly.
