Will Burrow be the QB of the future?

The news is out: Joe Burrow said he no longer has fun playing football. It seems like a shock, given he is only 29 years old. Well, he wouldn’t be the first former first overall pick to retire early. We all know Andrew Luck retired at the ripe age of 29.
Burrow has also experienced a lot of injuries and adversity in his short time. He once had the league’s worst offensive line. I’m sure it wasn’t for him to get teed off on. If he had a better OL, he may even have won the Super Bowl, and he would be having more fun.
There have been many teams that have surprised us by drafting a QB early. It seemed the Packers were mad for drafting Jordan Love with Aaron Rodgers. Then it seemed mind boggling for the Falcons to draft Michael Penix with Kirk Cousins.
Even if Cincy doesn’t want to draft a QB in the first round, it may be wise for them to select a QB in the mid rounds. It should also be noted that Burrow has been injury prone, too. He has only played in four games this season, 10 games in 2023, and 10 games in his rookie season.
The Bengals have to decide if they should trade Burrow for a first round pick, too. He could benefit from joining a team with an elite defense, while the Bengals could use such a pick for a new QB.
I’d love to see Burrow stay a few more seasons with the Bengals. If he stays healthy, he is one of the most productive QBs in the league. Then he could honestly be in the Bengals Hall of Fame. If he sticks around for several more years, he has a real shot at making the Hall of Fame.
At least, Burrow gets to play in a division that is half as talented as the NFC West or AFC West. If the Bengals bring in a couple of new faces on defense, Cincy could easily be the top team.
