Best landing spots for Aaron Rodgers

What is the best landing spots for Aaron Rodgers?

By: Jake Rajala

A-Rod led his squad (Pittsburgh Steelers) to the playoffs this season. Of course, he struck out and failed to win his wildcard showdown against the Houston Texans. With that said, Rodgers is a free agent in 2026 and I believe he could play longer. Hence, I’m going to lay out the best landings spots for Aaron Rodgers.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike Tomlin is no longer in Pittsburgh, but he still has sharp chemistry with their offensive pieces, such as DK Metcalf and Darnell Washington. Of course, the Steelers have one of the best fan-bases and they love Rodgers. Rodgers could also play in a division (AFC North) that he won in 2025.

Minnesota Vikings

Perhaps he will follow in Brett Favre’s footsteps by going to the twin cities. It’s safe to say J.J. McCarthy hasn’t panned out in a Vikings uniform thus far. Rodgers would really thrive with Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson. JJ only had two receiving TDs. Ouch.

Houston Texans

The team that knocked him out of the recent playoff gauntlet (Texans) would be a superb fit for him in 2026. CJ Stroud threw four ints in his latets game. The Texans have Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz, who both can make a lot of plays. Furthermore, they have a Top-3 defense in the league (which is led by Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter).

Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in the same building would be quite impressive. Of course, one of them is on the field, while the other is trying to improve the team off the field. The Raiders have the arguably best TE in football in Brock Bowers and an impressive RB in Ashton Jeanty.

Indianapolis Colts

If Daniel Jones doesn’t return to the Colts, I’d love to see them target another 40+ year old QB in Rodgers. Obviously, Philip Rivers was their last 40+ year old QB. The Colts can absolutely win their division with a slightly above average QB. They have Jonathan Taylor, Alec Pierce, and Michael Pittman.
