Best landing spots for Chris Shula

What is the best landing spot for Chris Shula?

By: Jake Rajala

With Mike McCarthy signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, it crosses off one team that Chris Shula won’t be signing with. Of course, Chris is the grandson of Don Shula. So, with that said, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for Chris.

Cleveland Browns

Don knows how to create a stout, balanced defense. The Browns ranked third in passing YPG allowed and third in sacks. I wouldn’t be surprised if Myles Garrett broke his current sack record under Chris. The Browns also have Denzel Ward and Mason Graham. They both have the ability to be Pro Bowlers. The Browns have interviewed Jim Schwartz, but I’d prefer to see them link a younger, more creative HC.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills have a prolific offensive persona in Joe Brady. It’s time to pair him with a sharp mind on defense. The Bills have pieces on defense to be a Top-8 unit. They ranked 12th in PPG allowed last season. Ed Oliver, Joey Bosa, and Greg Rousseau can get after the QB without needing help from LBs blitzing. I still have faith in Tre’Davious White on the back-end.

Las Vegas Raiders

Mad Maxx Crosby is licking at the chops to be unleashed. The Raiders defense is a work in progress. They ranked 25th in PPG allowed last season. They ranked 17th in sacks, which is unacceptable. They need to have an elite defense, as they play in an AFC West division that is loaded with elite QB play, such as Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix, and Justin Herbert.

Chris Shula is the offensive version of Ben Johnson, in my opinion. They both are assertive and wise above their years. It won’t be easy for Sean McVay to replace Shula.
