Goals for the Raiders
By: Jake Rajala
The Las Vegas Raiders will try to go from worst to best in 2026. They have some things going for them. They have Ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers, Maxx Crosby, and Tom Brady (off the field). With that said, I’m going to unfold five offseason goals for the Raiders.
1.Pick an Offensive Minded HC
The Raiders need to have a creative offensive mind in my opinion. They should find someone intrigued with their draft picks and young skill players. The AFC West has Sean Payton, Andy Reid, and Jim Harbaugh. This only means that they need a genius on the offensive side of the ball.
2. Draft Fernando Mendoza
I believe Fernando is a sure-fire stud that needs to be drafted by the Raiders. We’ve witnessed Caleb Williams pull miracles out of his hat in the recent NFC playoff battle. Fernando has that ability. He should be the OROY favorite, if the Raiders do another thing right …
3. Sign a veteran WR
The Raiders can’t solely rely on Bowers to carry their passing attack. They need to draft a WR, but they need an impact WR right now. Mike Evans or Keenan Allen would be a fine pickup in my opinion.
4. Find another elite pass rusher
The Raiders can’t ask Maxx Crosby to be their entire defense. After all, not even Myles Garrett can make the Browns have the best pass rush in the league. Crosby needs to continue to prove he deserves to have the Eastern Michigan Football field in his name.
5. Bring in another RB
Ashton Jeanty isn’t a bust, but he does need more help. He wasn’t a 1k+ yard RB in his rookie season. He also only averaged 3.7 YPC. He is a “modest RB right now”. Jeanty is the thunder and he needs the lightning.
If the Raiders take care of these priorities, they have a real shot at being a wildcard team in the next 2-3 seasons in my opinion. They just have to be patient with a young HC-QB combo.
