5 trade destinations for Tua Tagovailoa

Best trade destinations for Tua

By: Jake Rajala

The Miami Dolphins quarterback isn’t Tua Tagovailoa isn’t Dan Marino. Heck, Tua isn’t even Ryan Tannehill. Tua once threw the most passing yards in a single season and he also led the league in completion percentage. Well, times have changed. He threw 15 interceptions in 14 games this season. He arguably got his head coach (Mike McDaniel) fired. With that said, it makes sense for Tua to be traded. Hence, I’m going to unfold five trade destinations for him.

Arizona Cardinals

I love Jacoby Brissett and the way he replaced Kyler Murray. After all, he was my QB1 in fantasy. Nonetheless, I don’t believe he has a Pro Bowl-like ceiling. He also didn’t act as the most clutch QB. He went 1-11 with the Cardinals. Ouch.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers QB, Aaron Rodgers, may not return to Pittsburgh or any team in 2026. They need to find a modest QB to play in place of A-Rod. Even if Rodgers does return, he will certainly retire in 2027. Mike McCarthy has done quite well with QBs in his history, such as Rodgers in Green Bay and Dak Prescott in Dallas.

Houston Texans

There were some QBs more disappointing than Tua this season. CJ Stroud was one of them. He unleashed four interceptions in the divisional round. CJ and Tua both have a lot of upside. They both have stood out before. I believe competition could bring back the best version of them.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings shouldn’t have chosen J.J. McCarthy over Sam Darnold. Simple enough. Justin Jefferson was more miserable than A.J. Brown with his situation. If Kevin Stefanski can make Kirk Cousins play like a Pro Bowler, then he sure has hell can make Tua play to his fullest potential.

Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady needs to get creative in his pursuit of improving the QB situation. They will most likely draft Fernando Mendoza first overall. I’d still like to see them bring in a veteran QB to have more structure at the position. Geno Smith is getting paid too much to be the QB2.
