Best WR targets for the Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl, but they aren’t flawless. They have Jaxon Smith-Njigba at WR, but it’s not the sexiest group of wideouts after that. Cooper Kupp can show up in big moments, but he’s not the same WR that won Super Bowl MVP. They also have Rashid Shaheed, but he’s a free agent. So, I’m going to lay out free agent WR targets for the Seahawks
Mike Evans
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans is similar to DK Metcalf, who left the Hawks last offseason. They are both consistent and able to win 50/50 balls. Metcalf had 48 touchdowns in six seasons with the Hawks. Meanwhile, Evans notched 13 touchdowns in 2023 and 10 TDs in 2024. I don’t believe Evans is confident in the Buccaneers Super Bowl chances, as well.
Rashid Shaheed
The Seattle Seahawks WR Rashid Shaheed is a big play waiting to happen. He is an All-Pro return specialist and a WR that can take the top off a defense. He is also 27 years old, so he is in his prime. He has expressed interest in returning to the Saints. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he followed Klint Kubiak to the Raiders.
Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen is still a true WR2 right now. I know that may sound bold, but it’s true. He has recorded at least 700 receiving yards in every season besides 2016. Allen will certainly be looking to go out swinging, so the Hawks have to be the best fit. He had a modest PFF grade of 77.6.
Jakobi Meyers
Jakobi Meyers is another WR who can excel with speed. He recorded 835 yards this season. He notched 1,027 yards in the season before that. He is 29, so he’s on his last legs. He’s in a similar situation as Brandin Cooks, who is also explosive and “old” at the same time.
Taysom Hill
Yes, I know that Taysom Hill plays QB and RB. However, makes a lot of play with quick throws and screens. He has a couple of seasons left in him, so I’d love to see him try and ride off into the sunset. Hill and Njigba side by side would be vicious.
Christian Kirk
The former 1k+ yard WR, Christian Kirk, can’t be thrilled about the idea of returning to the Texans after CJ Stroud unleashed four interceptions in his latest playoff showdown. I still believe he can be effective in space, via screens, and quick slants. I will give him a pass for his 2025 season. In 2024, he notched 379 yards in eight games. He can be a modest WR3 right now.
MVS
I believe the WR, who recorded 22.6 YPC in 2024 with the Saints, is still alive and well. Of course, I’m talking about MVS. He is 31, so he may only play a couple of more seasons. I believe the Hawks can squeeze out the remaining talent he has. He shouldn’t be too expensive, after his 2024 wretched season.
