What is the best landing spot for Tyreek Hill?
By: Jake Rajala
It appears Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins are headed toward a divorce. This makes sense after Mike McDaniel was fired and Tua Tagovailoa will most likely get traded. I can’t imagine the 31 year old wide receiver will retire quite yet. After all, it wasn’t that long ago when he was voted as the best “overall” player. With that said, I’m going to lay out potential trade destinations for him.
Kansas City Chiefs
It’s clear that three time Super Bowl winner, Patrick Mahomes, can’t do everything on his own. He could use more ammunition. Who would be better than Hill, who is a very explosive WR with chemistry in Andy Reid’s offense? Plus, it appears that Travis Kelce could retire this offseason. Rashee Rice is their top WR, and he merely recorded 571 yards and five touchdowns last season. Hence, they are missing an alpha WR.
Buffalo Bills
The 2025 MVP Josh Allen, and the Buffalo Bills can’t quite get over the hump. They need more toys for Allen to work with. Khalil Shakir is their best WR, and PFF graded him as the 38th best WR. Brandin Cooks isn’t a true WR2 at this stage in his career, as well. He isn’t sure-handed anyway. The Bills new HC, Joe Brady, is one of the most creative offensive minds, too.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers could benefit from an elite wideout. The former second-team All-Pro Brandon Aiyuk is on his way out of the Bay Area. The WR Jauan Jennings is a free agent and may not return. I’d love to see Kyle Shanahan work with Hill. Deebo Samuel and Julio Jones (when Shanny was the Falcons OC) were unstoppable under Kyle.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Hill could go look to go out swinging with the old, wise QB Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers have DK Metcalf, but he needs a partner. Darnell Washington is a load at the TE spot. He’s not quite a Pro Bowl TE, however. Tom Brady was spoiled at the end of his career with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown. It’s time for A-Rod to have a plethora of prominent weapons.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints have Chris Olave, who was second-team AP last season. I’d love to see them add a shiny WR2. Rashid Shaheed left the Saints for the Seattle Seahawks. DeVaughn Vele is a modest WR3, but he’s not quite worthy to be a WR2 in my opinion. The 2025 rookie sensation, Tyler Shough, could really put up a lot of passing yards with Hill.
Denver Broncos
It’s a WR’s dream to play under the Denver Broncos whiz, Sean Payton. The Broncos could really benefit from a quality weapon joining their team. They have Courtland Sutton, but he can’t be a seven nation army. Troy Franklin is modest (709 yards and six touchdowns), but he’s not a Pro Bowler. I’d love to see the team that lost 10-7 against the Patriots with a backup QB add one more legit piece to their puzzle.
Seattle Seahawks
The 2025 Offensive Player of the Year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Hill would most certainly be the most productive WR tandem in the league. I even expect them to bring back Shaheed. Then Hill and Shaheed could be the fastest WR duo in the league! It would be hard to refuse joining the defending Super Bowl Champions, even if Klint Kubiak is no longer there.
