5 WR targets for the Baltimore Ravens

WR targets for the Ravens

By: Jake Rajala

The Baltimore Ravens missed the playoffs, which isn’t understandable. They have too much talent on offense to allow an elderly man in a Steelers uniform to take them down in the final moments of the season. With that said, I’m going to lay out some WRs that the Ravens should consider acquiring.

DJ Moore

DJ Moore is a versatile, physical wideout. PFSN has already predicted the Bears to trade DJ Moore. He is expensive, and he plays at a spot where Rome Odunzo and Luther Burden reign. Of course, he’s still talented. He had a modest statline of 682 yards and six touchdowns. I believe the WR that 1,364 yards is still in him somewhere.

Xavier Worthy

The Chiefs may be hesitant to trade someone to another talented AFC team, but it could really help both sides. Xavier Worthy is a 40 yard dash legend, but he hasn’t quite lifted off. He only had 532 yards last season. I’d like to see him in a Ravens uniform. Lamar Jackson can run around the field and wait for a very fast WR like Worthy to get open.

Justin Jefferson

I expect Justin Jefferson to get traded at the end of the day. The Ravens have an elite QB with a hole at WR. That’s why Jefferson makes sense as a fit with Baltimore. He won’t be cheap, nonetheless. I wouldn’t be surprised if he demands a first round pick and a second round pick (at least).

Deebo Samuel

Deebo Samuel and Derrick Henry would be quite the 1-2 punch in the backfield. Of course, Samuel would also be a serious threat in the slot and with the ball in space. He is 30 years old, so he’s on his last legs. I’d love to see him join the Ravens on a 1 or 2 year deal. I believe he has more gas in the tank than DeAndre Hopkins does.

Rashid Shaheed

Rashid Shaheed is a free agent. He is one of the most explosive wideouts in the game. He is also a heck of a return specialist. Shaheed won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks. Perhaps it’s time for him to join another elite team and push for his second Super Bowl.

Honorable Mention:

A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown is another very gifted wideout in a miserable situation. I want to see him free and on a team with a top-tier QB. Brown needs to get the ball more with screens and short routes. The Eagles also didn’t simply pass the ball enough to feed “two top notch WRs”. Of course, DeVonta Smith is the other WR I’m talking about.
