7 best Deebo Samuel destinations

Best landing spots for Deebo Samuel

By: Jake Rajala

Deebo Samuel is one of the most impressive weapons in free agency. He can do it all. He reminds me of Percy Harvin, who was one of the most explosive and elusive wideouts in the game. Both WRs could excel with carries in the running game, as well. With that said, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for Deebo Samuel.

San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel was once an All-Pro under Kyle Shanahan. His All-Pro days may be over, but he still has strong chemistry with Shanny and the 49ers. Plus, Brandon Aiyuk will most likely be out the door, and Jauan Jennings will be a free agent. Defenses would have a hard to keeping up to Samuel AND Christian McCaffrey.

New Orleans Saints

I believe that Taysom Hill will join a different team or retire this offseason. We all saw him emotional after the last home game of the season. Deebo is somewhat similar to Hill, besides the fact that Deebo can’t throw passes for touchdowns. Alvin Kamara is also a bit washed up, so they could use more help in the running game.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a Super Bowl contender. They have the 2024 MVP, Josh Allen, and the 2025 leading rusher, James Cook. They need a spark at their WR spot. Khalil Shakir isn’t a Pro Bowl-caliber wideout. Since Stefon Diggs left, they have been aching for prominent WRs. Samuel could be that WR that helps them get past the divisional round.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Deebo Samuel may be intrigued by the idea of playing with a future Hall of Famer in Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers have DK Metcalf and Darnell Washington, but they need a quality WR2. Calvin Austin merely notched 372 yards and three touchdowns last season. I believe it was a mistake letting George Pickens leave the building.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens need more wideouts who can excel in space, whether it’s from a screen or a short route. Zay Flowers was the 19th best WR by PFF. I’d love to see him have a partner in crime. Mark Andrews is reliable, but he’s not as shifty as Samuel. Samuel and Derrick Henry could be like thunder and lightning.

Seattle Seahawks

The Hawks have the 2025 Offensive Player of the Year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. I believe they could still use more firepower. Rashid Shaheed is a free agent and he may leave. Cooper Kupp is clutch, but he’s more of a WR3 at this stage in his career. It would be wise to bring in a capable WR2. With Kupp and Jaxon, they could still benefit from another weapon. Kenneth Walker could also stay fresh with Samuel taking snaps at RB.
